Do you love ginger? Do you love chocolate? Well, you've come to the right place! These delightful ginger biscuits taste just as good as they look.
Although I uploaded the Banana Loaf as my first blog post, these were actually the first bake I ever made for Completely Whisked and I am still super proud of them!
They are really easy to make and so much fun to decorate!! I chose to cover mine in chocolate and sprinkles but it's totally up to you what theme you go for. You could try raspberry flakes with white chocolate or caramel with honeycomb pieces. The ideas are endless!

Ingredients:
> 100g butter
> 200g caster sugar
> 1 egg
> 2tsp golden syrup
> 280g plain flour
> 1/2 tsp baking powder
> 2tsp ginger
> 50g white chocolate
> 50g milk chocolate
> any sprinkles of your choice
Method:
Step 1 > Preheat your oven to 180c and line two trays with baking paper.
Step 2 > Sift the flour, baking powder and ginger into a large mixing bowl and mix until evening dispersed.
Step 3 > Add the butter into the floury mixture and, using your finger tips, crumble the two ingredients together. The mixture should look fine and have no visible lumps of butter left in it.
Step 4 > Pour the sugar into the crumble and stir thoroughly.
Step 5 > In a small, separate bowl crack the egg and whisk until it becomes a slightly lighter shade of yellow. Once this happens, add in the 2tsp of golden syrup and mix until combined.
Step 6 > Next, slowly add the golden mixture into the large bowl making sure to mix as you pour.
Step 7 > Once all of the ingredients have been added, you should be left with a non-sticky dough. If your dough is too sticky, just add some more flour!
Step 8 > Cover your rolling pin and work surface in flour and roll out the dough to about a pound coin thickness. Using your chosen cutters, cut out your shapes and place on the baking tray. Make sure you leave plenty of space around each biscuit as they will expand in the oven. Now, bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 9 > Melt your chosen chocolate either in the meekrow warvey (microwave) or in a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water on the stove.
Step 10 > Decorate with whatever toppings you choose!
Enjoy!
